Canary decided to invest after meeting with the founders in 2017. They had a thesis that the entire insurance sector and its incentives were about to be disrupted, coupled with the fact that Brazilian regulators were starting a pro-innovation agenda, with the goal of fostering competition and leveling up the quality of services and products offered in the country. We were amazed by the founders' grit and ambitious target of rethinking a very old and complex business model. It is an honor to be part of their journey, and we are constantly amazed by what they have accomplished so far and what still lies ahead.
